This is a small independent guide to the Maokong Gondola, not the operator's ticket desk. We compare listings and explain how the cable car works. We cannot rebook, refund, or change a ticket; the live booking page handles that.

- Prices move. The operator sets the fares at its gates, and the online starting price of $9.49 shifts with the exchange rate. If a figure on this site no longer matches what you are seeing, send a note and it will be checked.
- Closure dates shift yearly, and the annual overhaul can stop the cable car for weeks. Check the operator's site for its monthly Monday maintenance calendar before you ride.
- Things at the top change. A tea house closes, a trail shuts after a typhoon, or work at Zhinan Temple moves on. A short note from someone who was just there beats a search result, so please send one.
- Corrections to the detail are welcome too: which stations take passengers, how concession fares work at the gate, or that the crystal cabin is an on-site upgrade rather than an online option. Small fixes keep the guide honest.
- A question the FAQ leaves open, especially one about a specific day or a specific ticket option.
Our Replies
Replies are not instant, but they are real. A wrong fare, a stale closure date or a station detail that no longer holds gets checked against the operator's own pages and fixed within a day or two. Bigger questions, such as whether a particular ticket option suits a given itinerary, take longer, and the answer usually lands on the site itself where more than one reader can use it. There is no newsletter, nothing is sold afterwards, and email addresses are never passed on.
Where We Draw The Line
This page cannot act on an order. No place is held, no date is moved, no payment is taken. The fare is sold at the gate at Taipei Zoo Station, and the ticket is sold on the live booking page this site links to. Both of those sit outside this site, so anything involving money or a booking has to go to the seller, not here.
If you already hold a ticket, go to your confirmation email. It carries the voucher that is scanned at the gate, and the seller's own channel is the only one that can act on the order, whether that means a change of date or a refund. Writing here cannot change anything already bought, and it is better to say that plainly than to let a message sit unanswered while a deadline passes.
Two details settle most questions before an email is needed. First, which day the visit falls on, because the line does not run on most Mondays. Second, whether the trip needs a single ride or a pass that allows getting off at Zhinan Temple and Maokong and rejoining later. Check both against the live booking page before travelling.
